I had a gelding that i had bought as a 4 month old. At age 5, I decided to get him going on the barrels and put this man to work. I asked Laura about taking him. When she got him......this big fellow couldn't lope a correct circle, was horrible about picking up his leads, and just flat out didn't have a clue how to carry his large body. Laura put 90 days on him for me. I would have been thrilled even if he wasn't loping the pattern but he was in such great shape and looked amazing. NO DOUBT Laura puts the hours in on your horse. At the end of 30 days he was loping nice circles, staying underneath himself, and working just as calm as you could ask him too. She took him to some NBHA shows, and placed in the 4D at a jack pot in his short time there. He is currently owned by another girl who is doing high school rodeo with him. He just needed to be hauled. I have a 3 year old son, and didn't have time to do it. The girl is doing wonderful on him and he is running at the top of 3D with very limited hauling and looks like no effort is required. There are a lot of people in South Carolina wishing Laura would come back to take on their horse. If I had anyone to recommend it would be Laura hands down. Your horse is tended too, taken wonderful care of, and as i said before, they won't just sit and be pastured. They are rode and they come home with a great handle!

We were having terrible issues with our mare not paying attention to the barrels and bad gate issues. After sending her to Laura for 30 days we picked her up and rode her at home for 4 days and hauled her to an evening barrel race. Her ground manners were horrible before we sent her. I am still asking myself if she is the same horse. She is alot better behaved and she really hunts and turns a barrel. My daughter rode her all night and exhibitioned her 4 times and she was fantastic. Thank you Laura!!!! After having alot of bad experiences with trainers I can tell you this gal put the work into my horse and I could not be more greatful. I would recommend Laura to anyone, she is definately the most honest I have ever met.

Hunter and I bought King Ray Easy Six AKA as Kansas from Lightning S Ranch a little over a year ago. He's the most laid back 5 year old I've ever seen! He's a blast to ride, so easy, great pattern. He's already doing great and really hasn't grown into his full potential yet!! I can't wait to see what the future holds with Kansas!!

My daughter had been wanting a barrel horse for a while. All the horses/ponies she had been riding for years would use all her energy trying to make it do what she wanted. Never could she get through the pattern without a fight. We heard about this horse "Watch out for Sis" that was only a 3 year old which kinda worried me at first thinking my daughter would be back in the same boat with such a young horse. We spent a Saturday driving out to Kansas to see this horse and to test ride her. There was an instant bond between the horse and my daughter. She actually made it all the way through the pattern with ease. So we loader her us and brought her home. The temperament of this horse is laid back but she knows when it's time to work. Laura, even after the sale has answered any and all questions I have had regarding the horse and her ways of training. Laura was even kind enough to meet us at an arena an hour way from her town to spend several hours teaching my daughter more about the way she had trained to horse to work the pattern. The summer of 2009 will be Sam's & Mia's (new barn name)first summer together. They haven't done to much over the winter but I am sure there are great things to come for them. They are a perfect match.
I have a filly coming 2 in July and once she is broke I will send her to Laura also because I am so please with the results of her training.

Thanks so much for the help learning this new (to me) sport! The lessons and the barrel racing clinic were just what I needed to get the courage to ride at an NBHA event!

Lena and I moved to 4D times after working with you. It's amazing what a few little tips will do for your time. I've only been barrel racing since Halloween this year so it was nice to improve enough to make it to the 4D time bracket!

I also appreciate your letting me use Levi to ride after my mare came up lame. After riding a horse you've trained, I understood what it felt like to have a horse "get under themselves" and "use their body". I loved it so much that Levi now stands in our barn! Thank you for letting us buy him. I look forward to more lessons and to hauling to some of the same events this Spring!

With your help, the two of us can only get better!
